Sakar 52mm 55mm Close Up Filter Set 1 2 4 Diopters Magnification Kit Metal Rim and Glass

Availablein +1, +2, and +4 diopters for close-up photography. Close-up lenses are high-quality optical magnifying lenses which shorten the close-focusing distance of the lens. It allows the lens to go closer to the subject than before and to achieve a largerimage scale.
Use lenses individually or in combination for maximum effect
Depth-of-field is shallow so use as small an aperture as possible,
Diopters can be “stacked” for extreme magnification.

4 Stars Hard to beat for the money if you want to do Macro
If you don’t have a dedicated macro lens, or something like a 70-300mm lens with a macro mode, this is an awfully tempting deal. And for less then $10, it really is a good deal. The quality of the glass is more than adequate, and they do exactly what they are intended. The only problem I encountered was that my lens’ autofocus would generally not work with the +10 macro filter. However, if setting up macro shots, you should have no problem manually focusing by hand. The case the filters was shipped in was also not of great quality, and could see it scratching the glass if they had not been individually wrapped in plastic beforehand. This is a non-issue for me, as I have dedicated filter wallets, but for someone who will be using this to carry these around, use caution.

PROS:

+ Good quality glass filters

+ Great deal for macro photography

CONS:

- It’s still not as good as a macro lens

- Included filter wallet is sub-standard

5 Stars Excellent Deal
I got shipped before estimated delivery schedule.

These work great with my D40 using 18-55mm. Specially +10 Lense. I guess I rare use others (i.e. +1, +2 & +4)

Anyways this is awesome at this price. I am much satisfied what I expected.

2 Stars Not really worth the buy
I don’t see a big boost using these close-up filters. The limitations to the close-up photography due to the camera’s minimum focus distance controls how close your can get to you subject for macro-photography. Using these is simply a means of telling yourself that you are doing macro- but unfortunately you are not getting anything significantly better than you would with just your camera. Best not to waste your money on this.

5 Stars A satisfied consumer
I am very pleased with my recent purchase of Digital Concepts close-up Macro Filter Set. Still learning the skills to properly use them to thier full potential but have already had some great results. The price was really great compared to all others I looked at. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who would like to enter the world of very close or macro photos. I’m sure there are better , more expensive products out there, but for a novice you can’t beat it! I keep it in my camera bag at all times just to be prepared! A small tripod is highly recommended for these although handheld shots are still possible. I am thouroughly enjoying my set. Jerry Robertson

5 Stars Go for it !!
First of all, what would you except from a 7 bucks lense..sorry 4 filters in 7 bucks ? dont expect a high macro lense..seeing at the price its a must have filter..there should not be any hesitation buying this item..check some of my pics uploaded here..+10 worked great..if not macro- it will certainly increase the DOF for close up shoots..image quality is also acceptable…dont think too much..just go for it..

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Reliable Friend
I bought the Canon LP-E5 battery because I was going on an important photo trip and didn’t want any issue with quality. This battery did not fail me. In fact, it went longer than stated. I’ll stick with this battery in the future rather than use second rate batteries.

5 Stars Canon Battery
Received as ordered, competitive price & works fine. Was on time so am very satisfied.

5 Stars Good battery, but you may as well get the Bag kit.
The battery itself is a commodity and runs up to $70 bucks, so you may as well get the Canon Rebel EOS (or your model) bag kit with Battery and filter. It cost at minimum $99, but the bag is waterproof and durable. I knew a secondary battery would be needed, but after checking the prices and realizing I need a bag it was a no brainer.

5 Stars Right on time. Thanks.
Thanks for getting this to me right when I needed it. I will keep you in mind for future purchases.

5 Stars Great battery life!
I bought this as a spare for my Canon Rebel XSI. I can take over 500 pictures no sweat without even considering swapping for a backup battery. Also the battery charge last for a while.

5 Stars LoveIt!
I received my first Canon PowerShot Elph from my brother over 4 years ago. So this was an upgrade for me. I loved my first one and I love this one.My mother has one, too, and she is very pleased with hers as well. I am still getting a feel for my new one, but I am very happy with it! The orange color is awesome! And the fact that you can recharge the battery appeals to my “green” side!

5 Stars Canon PowerShot SD1200IS
My wife and I were strolling through the store when she spotted this camera and said that she wanted her own camera, since I hogged the family camera, and that this one was cute. She was ready to purchase immediately, which I talked her out of doing. As a photographer I knew that these decisions took research, reading reviews on the internet and getting potential candidates in your hands to be scrutinized. After two weeks of consideration my research led me to the same camera that she had liked because of its’ size and color.

Canon makes a great camera. Every digital still camera I’ve owned has been a Canon. This camera offers image stabilization, which is a must, and delivers a 10mp image. The mega pixal race has gotten out of hand, being an easy selling point of more pixals must mean better imaging. This is not the case. Often more pixals means more image noise, takes up more space on your computer and requires bigger memory cards.

At any rate, this camera is compact, offers enough shooting variations to please someone with a background in photography and, as my wife says, is cute.

5 Stars Excellent for video and pictures, especially underwater!
We live in Guam, where the picture taking possibilities are endless. This little camera takes really great pictures both above water and underwater; we bought the underwater casing and my husband uses it while scuba diving, it takes beautiful underwater pictures and video. The lag time can get a little annoying if the picture preview is on; but that’s just basic digital camera issues. We’ve used this camera for video on several occasions and you wouldn’t be able to tell it was taken with a hand held camera instead of a video camera. When the camera arrived I was a little worried that the orange color would be more pastel, but I was pleasantly surprised by the bright orange color since orange is one of my favorite colors.

I used to be a strictly Nikon person, and I owned the Nikon CoolPix, but it was stolen a while back. We replaced it with this Cannon and it’s made us open our eyes to another brand. We still love Nikon, but Cannon has definitely reserved a spot on our list of favorites. My only complaint between the two is that the Cannon is a little bit thicker than the Nikon and doesn’t fit into my pocket as easily. But it’s still a great little camera to throw into my purse and take everywhere.

5 Stars Fantastic little camera!
This is a great little camera! You certainly can’t beat the quality for the price. I highly recommend this.

5 Stars Great Point & Shoot Camera
I bought this digital camera after my Canon SD750 broke, and so far it’s been great. Takes great quality pics and it’s very portable. I’m not one of those savvy camera guys where I know a lot about the different options a camera can do. I’m more of a “if it takes good pictures, then I’m sold” type of camera guy and this is a great camera if you’re looking for something you can take anywhere and have a great quality picture. I’ve heard complaints about the navigation buttons on the back, and although it was not as easy to use (as far as the buttons are concerened) as my old SD750, I didn’t find it to be to problematic or annoying. The only thing that could make this camera better is if they removed the optic viewer. It would have given more room for a bigger LCD screen. But that’s just my preference, some people prefer having the optic viewer. So in conclusion, great camera, great price. 100% recommend it to those looking for something simple that’ll do the everyday job of taking nice clean pictures.

Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP Digital Camera with 20x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom

Whether the action is fast or slow, close up or far away, youll always get the shot you want with the
PowerShot SX10 IS. This camera puts you on the cutting edge of advanced technology, with an incredibly
powerful 20x optical zoom, 10-megapixel resolution, and new DIGIC 4 Image Processor for high-performance
face and motion detection.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Amazing ZOOM and Stabilization
If your pictures aren’t turning out, you’re probably doing something wrong. Small changes make a huge difference. Especially simple things like the White Balance/changing the light source. Take a picture of a cut open watermelon and watch the red heart go from auto bland to a bright juicy red. You can even set the Red in the Colors menu. But just changing the light source makes all the diffence in the world! The most amazing thing with this camera is the Stabilization!!! You can free hand all the way into the digital zoom and have your pictures come out clearer and better than they even look through the lcd. I’m constantly amazed at how stable it is. That’s what made me choose this over the Nikon with 20x optical zoom and the rest of the competition. Just zoom out in the store and watch it find and track Faces from 10′ to 100′. It even seperates the Facial Recognition pic.s when you download into it’s own file, just faces.

Just for the hell-of-it, when I registered this camera, I let CANON know that my 4 year old A75 PowerShot stopped working. It blurred out with purple vertical lines. They said to send it in and they’d fix it for free if it was one of those that got a bad CCD. Ten minutes ago the Fed Ex guy brought it back and it’s fixed!!! FREE, new CCD and adjusted and cleaned! Amazing. Just that alone makes me glad that I picked the Canon. What other company would pay shipping and fix a 4 year old camera for FREE?! NONE!!! Very Impressed with Canon. They’ve made me a loyal customer for life. They probably fixed it because I just bought this SX10IS. But, they didn’t have to. I never expected them to do this. I was just curious to why my A75 went bad and if it was worth fixing to use as my work camera. Anyway, I never write reviews, but no one’s ever fixed a camera that’s years past warranty for free and had it back in under 2 weeks!!! My next camera will be a Canon, and the one after that, and after that… When I was researching for the SX10IS, the main complaint was that the lens cap gets lost. Mine hasn’t and they make caps with a lanyard for like [...] bucks! What it comes down to is, shake all you want, your pictures will still come out butter smooth, even a mile away!!!

4 Stars Very nice camera
You should read the more in-depth reviews first, but I just wanted to add my voice and say that this is a really nice camera.

If you are on the cusp of getting an SLR but not quite sure you want to delve into it (as I was), this is a good choice.

I really like most aspects of it and don’t have any major complaints. Getting it to focus properly in the environments I used it in (I was photographing performers at music events) was pretty frustrating at times, but once I got to know it well enough it was better. The built-in flash is fairly useless for low light settings where the subject is more than a few feet away.

I also got this for the video capability but was very annoyed by the sound recording. In loud environments, even on the lowest input-volume setting, it will record with lots of distortion. I didn’t understand this because friends of mine have older and lower-model PowerShots and in the same environments they could record without distortion. You’d think this would be possible on the better model, but apparently not.

Other than that, a very solid product all around.

4 Stars Powered zoom system too fast
I’m an experienced photographer who grew up with SLR, medium format, and view cameras while working as a pro in the military and commercially afterward. Today, I shoot only for some business and recreational needs. This is a really good compromise camera for someone wishing to avoid the bottomless cost of and SLR, along with the additional weight. My one beef is the electrically powered zoom, which reacts way too quickly. My last camera was a Minolta Dimage, which is no longer made. It, too, was a super zoom, but the lens barrel had to be manually twisted to zoom in/out. This allowed much, much finer adjustment of the zoom at a speed of the users choosing. As an all around compromise camera, this is a good value. There is always some degradation of image quality that’s a given with a superzoom camera, and that is evident in this product.

3 Stars Caution is the word for this camera
You get what you pay for, and I evidently down-sized in some unanticipated ways from a Panasonic FZ-50 to this Canon, hoping for the added benefit of the extra zoom. Just beware of this camera’s limited capabilities in low light – and without bright light – the problem of uncertainty of focus at maximum zoom. When you change the ISO to 200, you pick up discernible noise, inapparent when you check you pictures on the LCD. I should add that the “wheel” which manages ISO and other changes is cheaply made and awkward to use and that both the view finder and the LCD are – frankly – not quality. By the way, the video button, which is easy to get to, is in fact awkward to use and I find I have to push down. I will say I have no problem with the rechargeable battery solution – though its a nuisance – and an obvious way of Canon controlling costs. Do know I spent much less for this camera than for the Panasonic when it first came out, so I understand I got what I paid for. There are some interesting bells and whistles, but these compensate for the shortcomings in the basics. My hunch is that this is the case with the SI 20 as well. But with any luck Canon won’t have me as a consumer again.

4 Stars All Auto Functions is excellent. All Manually Functions is not very bad.
This is my 6th digital camera and 3rd from Canon.

This camera is not for everyday using (size and weight).

This is “weekend-camera”. :)

General characteristic is in the title.
