If you use your Canon Pixma printer for photo printing, you might have observed that the color cartridges seem to drain fast. The engineers at Canon are aware of this and have helped resolve the problem. Instead of requiring a complete ink cartridge replacement, the cartridge was designed as 2 modules: cartridge transfer mechanism and an ink tank. This is the ink tank. It’s a refill for your ink cartridge and is an economical way of adding ink without having to pay for an entire cartridge. It’s a sensible alternative.

Have been using Canon 8 ink in my Canon Pixma iP520 photo printer for over 3 years. I sell prints from this printer.
I teach digital photography and recommend printer manufacturer’s inks to assure quality results. “Compatible ink” means ink cartridge will work in that printer. Quality varies considerably.

I use the CLI-8Y Yellow Ink Tank for my Canon IP4200. All my ink tanks typically get used up at almost the same rate on the Canon IP4200 so I usually just order the Canon CLI-8 4-Color Multipack Ink Tanks package, which consists of: Magenta CLI-8M (this ink tank), Cyan CLI-8C, Yellow CLI-8Y, and CLI-8Bk Black.
*If you need all 4 colors, the Canon CLI-8 4-Color Multipack Ink Tanks is a much better deal.*

I stint on ink and print my documents almost exclusive in grayscale at the DRAFT quality mode (my Canon IP4200 printer uses the CLI-8 color cartridges even though I don’t print in color). I can get about a full ream’s worth of paper (double-sided) on 1 cartridge. However, with higher quality printer, the color ink cartridges get consumed much more quickly.
It is evident from the reviews that the price of ink is a major concern for most people. You should ideally use only genuine Canon ink cartridges but if you’re strapped for cash, you can purchase the cheaper generic versions (non-OEM) of the CLI-8 cartridges.

3 Stars Ink is fine; cost isn’t
We have all been warned that this is the strategy followed by many printer companies – keep printer prices low and charge relatively high prices for the ink. This is certainly the case here – I paid just under $15. In about a month, it is already below half and I do very little color printing.
Other than that, the ink and the printer works very well (I have a Canon MX 700).
3 Stars Canon MP830 printer magenta ink
My husband insisted on the Canon printer because it’s supposed to print better quality photos. What we didn’t know was that we had to get Canon photo paper; it will not print correctly on Kodak or other photo papers. That aside, the printer ink colors are OK, but the printer goes through more ink than any HP printer I’ve ever owned. The ink is fine, the printer just seems to run out too quickly, particularly the cyan and magenta colors. My next printer will be another HP printer.

The ink works well. No problems. But as you know all printer inks are a real rip-off.

4 Stars Worth it for the card
The 8GB SD card is great! I use it in my Canon XS DSLR and it works wonderfully. The card reader is garbage. Out of a 100 photo transfer you can bet that 15-20 of them will be loaded on the computer corrupted. Take out the reader and put it back in and those files will transfer fine. I have ditched the reader and just run a USB cable from my camera to the laptop, 100% successful transfer every time.

The USB card reader is very nice to have. You never know when a friend will have some pictures you want on your computer but you don’t have the right cable. Now you just slide the card in and instant download.

Love the memory card, hate the usb reader. I love how much space I get through the 8gb memory card, and with paying just over $20, it was a really good deal. I especially liked the USB reader. It’s extremely convenient and requires no wires! Here’s the problem: Just like the other user, mine seems faulty as my images has all of a sudden disappeared after connecting the reader to my computer. This is a big problem. I’m just lucky the pictures weren’t important! So be wary of this! Other than that, the seller shipped my item lightening fast… although we are only a city away, it came the next day!

After reading this review, the seller contacted me and ended up sending me a new usb reader. It seems that the one they sent me works much better(pretty much, I haven’t had any inconvenience with this one). They were quick and sent it fast. I am satisfied, but not wholy because I realized after I wrote the first review that some pictures from overseas(very important) were damaged as well. Customer service is awesome though.

The product is really cheap but serves the purpose. It is easy to setup and there is nothing much to it really. There is a level height to set up the level correctly. Rods a mix of plastic and aluminium. It is light and easy to carry around. Good product overall.

It has a level in it, easy adjust legs, a sturdiness that’s surprising for such a light weight tripod. It adjusts to over five feet, folds smoothly, and great for hikes, or timed pictures.

I’ve owned this tripod for almost 9 months now and I love it! I’ve actually taken it to long trips such as Las Vegas, NY, and San Francisco and it’s been very handy for long exposure shots,it’s a little bit unstable when it’s windy but nothing that can be solved by holding it down, it’s really light and comes with a convenient bag.
I’m only giving it 4 stars because there are better brands that would probably give you a more stable grip, but overall it’s a really good buy if you’re on a budget.
5 Stars Perfect for our purpose
We needed a very light, very portable and very inexpensive tripod for a short period of work at our church. This has been perfect for the job. The adjustments move smoothly, the camera is held firmly and it folds quickly to fit into the storage/carry case.
This is not a professional metal tripod — don’t expect that in this price range. However, it is good for tourist type travel and general usage. I would recommend it for anyone with these requirements.
I would purchase again for our own use or for a gift.

5 Stars You gotta have protection
The Canon body cap is included with the purchase of your Canon SLR camera. If you happen to lose the cap, you need a new one. Don’t risk damage to your camera body that will end up costing more than a replacement cap. The cap protects the camera’s interior from stray dust particles and damage while your lens is off the camera. To save some money, look for an off brand version at a local camera shop. There are no special parts to this cap.

We bought this printer to use for a photo guest-book at my daughter’s wedding. We had it on a table with an AC power source and printed the pictures as they were taken by putting the memory card (from a Canon P&S camera) in the printer. It performed flawlessly outside in mid 80s F temperatures operated by two people who had never seen the printer before. I provided a small sheet of written instructions and they did the rest. The picture color and brightness were correct every time with no computer program processing involved. It made a great day even better with a ton of memories safely preserved.

I wanted a simple printer to use for printing out pics of my grandchild. I am so tired of replacing ink cartridges and I thought maybe the dye sublimation format would be easier to use. I was right! It is so simple to set up and use the Canon Selphy CP780. The software makes it very easy to create many cool effects. I use the multiple pic on one sheet and the calendar feature a lot. And it’s so small. You can put it anywhere, even in a (large) camera case. Really like it.

Perfect printer when you dont have the time to run to cvs or walgreens to have px developed.Cost per print not bad if you get paper and ink on sale.We have company alot during the summer and its nice to send them home with px rather than wait to get them developed and then mail them. Well worth it.
