4 Stars Better than expected!
I just needed a backup battery, but ended up buying this combo because they costed less than others that sold just the canon battery. Based on the pictures, I didn’t expect the case to look good, but it was much better when it arrived. The fit is a bit tight for my 870 IS, so pulling the cam out needs a little more effort than I would like, but thats not too bad. The metal strap looks good too.
The battery works fine and all the accessories are original canon products. I am glad I got this combo.
3 Stars Bought it for the Battery
I bought the accessory kit because I needed a case an spare battery. The case is a bit snug for the SD990IS. The camera goes into the case alright, but it’s rather tricky to get the camera back out. The case also doesn’t have any compartments for extra cards or the extra battery. I ended up tossing this case and buying another one that’s a bit bigger, and has pockets. Buying the accessory kit together was cheaper than buying the battery alone, so I think I got a good deal.
3 Stars Accessory pack OK but case and laynard are bulky
The battery is the most useful part of this kit.
Initially I wanted a case that would protect the screen from scratches when the camera was in my bag or pocket. This case is fairly thick and is just a bit too large to comfortably fit in my pocket. On my belt it also is a bit bulky and is constructed that way. It is very protective though of the camera and for backpack storage the case works great.
The laynard on the other hand is just bulky. When wearing around my neck it feels solid but again, when trying to put the camera in a pocket the laynard is so bulky that even without the case it doesn’t comfortably fit in a pocket.
I would consider other cases for the camera and don’t recommend the laynard at all.
5 Stars Canon Elph Accessory Kit
Excellent protective case for the camera. Always can use the extra battery. Have not found a use for the strap yet since the strap that came with the camera works fine for me.
4 Stars Great pricing deal to get a spare battery.
I got this kit specifically for the spare battery. At the time, from Amazon, a canon brand battery cost ~$35 and this kit cost $30. So, no brainer to buy the kit so I could have a spare battery for less.
The case seemed to fit on my SD800, although very tight. The strap is hard and somewhat inflexible due to the wire running in it. I didn’t like it. Since I only wanted the battery, I gave the other stuff away. I didn’t use any of it for any amount of time.
So, depending on the pricing, if you need a spare battery this kit is a great deal. I’d keep my eye on the fluctuating prices and grab it when it’s a good price deal.
Canon NB 5L Battery Pack for Canon SD700IS SD790IS series Digital Cameras

The Canon NB-5L is a replacement rechargeable battery pack for the Canon Powershot SD700 and Ixus 800. Since it is an original Canon product, compatibility and quality is guaranteed. The lithium-ion chemistry makes the battery free from memory effect, yielding approximately 240 shots (LCD on) and 700 shots (LCD off) on a single charge and 360 minute playback time.

5 Stars Canon NB-5L Battery for Canon camera
I purchased a Canon camera a couple of years ago and a Canon battery came with it. I bought a couple of generic brand batteries to use as backup. After a very short time, the generic brand batteries would only keep a charge for about ten minutes or less. Having learned my lesson, I purchased this additional Canon NB-5L battery for my backup. It holds a long charge and is very reliable. Don’t waste your money on generic brands like I did, buy the name brand.
5 Stars One reliable battery!
I have tried the cheaper non-Canon brand batteries from several manufactures and none of them last very long. They all do well for the first 5 to 6 charges, but from then on they loose their charge quickly. However, with a true Canon battery it stays reliable for years. This has been true for all the different versions of the Canon batteries that I use. So I only buy Canon these days because they are cheaper in the long run. They just can’t be beat!
5 Stars Awesome backup battery
Lasts just as long as the original battery that came with my camera, which is about 3-7 days of heavy picture taking, so long as you’re responsible and turn off the camera between shots. For “normal” point and shoot, i could see this lasting a month without a recharge.
5 Stars Does the job. Well!
This is the original Battery pack from Cannon, as opposed to many of the alternatives available. This is my second replacement battery for an 890IS. I lost my first spare at a party and bought this one as a replacement. I later found the lost battery after it had gone through a wash and dry cycle in a pant pocket! It still works just as well as before. Great product!!
The only reason for not buying one of the alternatives was the fact that most of the alternatives seemed to have at least a few negative reviews and for the cost difference I did not want to get into a “situation”, however low the probability.
5 Stars Speedy delivery
Prompt acknowledgement of order and delivered expeditiously as promised. No hassle involved! Would recommend to others and would do business again!

4 Stars much better than standard battery
This battery should have came with the Canon HG20. I can record for about 3 hours using this battery. I never ran it down so that is just going on the battery meter on the camera’s LCD for remaining battery life. It does stick out the back of the camera because it has more battery cells but it is the same color as the camera and only sticks out a few millimeters. It doesn’t get in the way so don’t worry about that if you have read that it sticks out. The battery life is great but Canon shouldn’t make you pay the exorbitant price for it to get it separately. They should either reduce the price or include it as a substitute to the standard battery which only provides about 1.5 hours of operation. Again, as with my other reviews, only 4 stars because of the price, which is very high.
5 Stars Great external charger
This is an excellent alternative than with the in-camera charging or if you have multiple batteries you can charge your extras with this one. I have a total of 3 batteries for my HF100 and this will be a godsend when traveling. Charging batteries with this unit is faster than the vidcam itself.
5 Stars Handy Charger
Nice, small, compact charger to keep my backup battery ready to use. LED lites show charge status and plug folds into back of charger, no wire to tangle. Highly recommended.
5 Stars Canon CG800 Charger Review
I am a satisfied owner of this charger. It is simple to use, recharges my camcorder batteries in a timely fashion and best of all, it’s about the size of a small bar of soap. The power plug folds into the charger when necessary making the charger very easy to pack. It weighs practically nothing too.
5 Stars Canon Charger
This charger allows you to recharge canon battery/s without using your camcorder as the charger. Very handy, but pricey. Takes about 90 min to charge the std. BP-809 battery.

5 Stars Reliable Friend
I bought the Canon LP-E5 battery because I was going on an important photo trip and didn’t want any issue with quality. This battery did not fail me. In fact, it went longer than stated. I’ll stick with this battery in the future rather than use second rate batteries.
5 Stars Canon Battery
Received as ordered, competitive price & works fine. Was on time so am very satisfied.
5 Stars Good battery, but you may as well get the Bag kit.
The battery itself is a commodity and runs up to $70 bucks, so you may as well get the Canon Rebel EOS (or your model) bag kit with Battery and filter. It cost at minimum $99, but the bag is waterproof and durable. I knew a secondary battery would be needed, but after checking the prices and realizing I need a bag it was a no brainer.
5 Stars Right on time. Thanks.
Thanks for getting this to me right when I needed it. I will keep you in mind for future purchases.
5 Stars Great battery life!
I bought this as a spare for my Canon Rebel XSI. I can take over 500 pictures no sweat without even considering swapping for a backup battery. Also the battery charge last for a while.

This battey will not show time indicating on your LCD monitor. This battery does not charge with your original charger, you must charge this battery with the charger included in this package

4 Stars It works!
O.K., you can’t find the Canon LP-E6 for your 5D Mark II without getting hosed big time by the supplier. This 7.2V 1800mAh Li-ion battery will do the trick until Canon gets its act together.
It appears well-made and identical to the Canon LP-E6. It powers the 5D Mark II nicely. That said, you should know:
1. DO NOT use the Canon charger–it will ruin the battery. Use the included charger. I labeled my battery AND charger so there will be no mix-up with the batteries.
Battery comes without a charge, but charges quickly. They recommend letting the light go green for two hours before first use.
2. Since there is no internal microchip, you can’t check the power level of the battery in the field–not even on the camera’s top LCD panel!
That said, the battery only costs [...] bucks as opposed to being gouged for $[...] plus, and it doubles the 5D Mark II’s already impressive capacity in the field.
3 Stars shipped timely, doesn’t support battery level indication in Canon 5D mark II
Works just fine, except that this isn’t compatible with my Canon 5D Mark II’s battery indicator. There must be a chip that Canon puts in their battery so that the camera can read the charge level or something. So, I don’t really know when I’m getting low on battery with this one. However, it is much more affordable than the Camera battery, and this is working just fine as a backup battery.
4 Stars You’d be a fool (or rich) not to buy two of these…
PROS
====
1. Beyond Inexpensive…
2. Works Wonderfully!!
3. Impeccable battery life for the price
4. Works as a back up battery charger (it’s supposed to charge the ‘genuine’ canon LP-E6)<--will I ever test it to find out? Only if I have to...
CONS
====
1. Doesn’t communicate with the camera –> A. no battery meter to tell you how much power is left / B. you can’t use the ‘battery memory’ options…(i.e. – the camera won’t remember the battery and how much charge is left should you pull it out and reuse it later) <--see your manual if you don't know what I'm talking about here.
2. You can’t use the standard battery charger…it will ruin the battery.
Conclusion
==========
Please read the title of this review again…
Yeah, I mean it…this battery really packs some good power. I mean, it really performs equally to the LP-E6. So you loose the convenience of knowing how much charge you have left. Not a big deal, just charge before you go and pack a spare…
Better yet, buy two of these batteries, compared to buying the genuine ones..you’ll be able to afford the generic battery grip – that’s where this battery shines…(in pairs)
(Zeikos ZE-CBG5DII Battery Grip for Canon 5D II) <-- be sure to check out my review of the battery grip...
I don’t mind not knowing how much power I have left as long as I know I have a ton of power. It’s kind of like having a broken fuel gauge on your car. Just fill up regularly (recharge) and keep track of your miles (power consumption) you’ll never have a problem…I haven’t yet.
I’m thinking of getting four, I’ll never run out of power!!
(I would have given 5 stars if this battery communicated with the camera) <--P.S. -- buy this item from BargainCell, you won't be disappointed in their service.
