5 Stars Works great!
I bought a Canon SX10 IS in January, which was my first big camera purchase after using a small Kodak P&S for five years. My only concern about the camera was that there was no way to protect the lens. After a lot of research and reading reviews, I found out a company called Lensmate makes an adapter. I ordered the adapter and a UV filter, to protect the lens of my camera. I forgot to order a lens cap for the filter though, and found this one on Amazon. It fits perfectly and works great! Very pleased!

5 Stars Cannon E-58U 58mm
I lost the original cap and was desperately looking for the cap. When I got in the mail I was disappointed because it was not the exact one. But then as I found out, this was even better. It fits better and is more secure. It worked out even better for me!

5 Stars Great cap – snaps on, stays on! Nice accessory for the Canon Vixia HFS10
I bought this as an accessory to my Canon VIXIA HFS10 – I know it doesn’t really need a cap, since there’s an automatic lens cover, but I use this as a cover for my filter.

I always like to keep a Tiffen 58mm UV Protection Filter on, both for the UV protection and to keep debris off the lens while I’m filming. Believe it or not, someone spit while I was filming once and the wind blew it right onto the lens. So now I always keep a UV filter on there, and then I like to keep this cap on the filter to protect it while it’s in my bag.

This is a great cap. You couldn’t ask for a better. It snaps on easily and stays on until I snap it off. Exactly what I wanted.

5 Stars Works Perfect for my Rebel XTi.
I recently lost my lens cap for my Cannon Rebel XTi. I was worried about buying this because so many reviewers said it didn’t fit their Canon, but this cap fits my Rebel XTi perfectly. It’s a perfect replacement for the lens cap that came with my camera.

If you’ve lost your lens cap on your Rebel XTi, get this lens as a replacement! :)

3 Stars Release grips could be better.
The Canon Lens caps that come with most of your lenses are highly effective for their purpose, they fit snug, and protect well. I have never had the cap fall off unintentionally.

The downfall of this (and most) canon lens caps are the release feature. When your lens is outfitted with its respective lens hood it becomes very difficult to snap the cap on the lens or filter. Unless you have a very wide and short hood on your lens, (like hoods for an ultra wide angle), one will always have problems quickly removing / adding the cap.

Sigma has designed the release of their lens caps as a center squeeze as opposed to canon’s edge release. This is much more convenient and easier to use than canons system.

Canon ET65III Lens Hood for Canon SLR Lens

A lens hood is one of the most important accessories for each lens you own. A lens hood provides multiple functions: it shades the lens from stray light, improving your contrast and image quality; in inclement weather, it can assist in keeping moisture or wind-blown debris off the lens; and it protects the front barrel from the inevitable impacts against walls, door frames, and other real-life obstacles.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Better than I expected
This hood is easy for me to use. With the hood attached on my 85/1.8 lens, I can easily get on or off the lens cap. It’s not that bad as someone put on their negative comments. I am a woman and my finger size is normal. It might be a different experience for someone with quite big hands.

4 Stars Does the job
There’s not much to say. The hood does its job. It’s easy to mount/unmount and can be mounted in reverse.

2 Stars Lousy Hood
Lousy hood. It is difficult to insert and remove. It does not stay on well. It, does the job when it comes to cutting out glare.

3 Stars Not that secure
The product works as advertised. But the design of the lens and the hood attachment is not the most secure. My other lens hoods screws on to the lens. This is attached through 4 prongs that attaches to a thin grove on the lens. With any force, the hood can pop out so may to serve to protect the lens when dropped.

5 Stars Very Happy
Great hood does what its supposed to do, cut flare and protect lense. It’s not a screw on, but latches fairly easy and is sturdy when latched on. Since it latches on it does spin around the lense, but its nothing to complain about, it still feels very sturdy when on. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Canon ES 62 Lens Hood for EF 50mm f 1 8 II w hood adapter 62

3 Stars satisfied
The seller’s service was good – the item shipped and arrived as expected with no problems.

The lens hood itself is a little hard to align properly when applied to the lens, and for the same reason it also sometimes catches a bit on removal. It’s also not very sturdy. But all these things I anticipated from other reviewers’ remarks, so I’m not surprised or disappointed. In the end it does its job and the price was right.

4 Stars canon es-62 lens hood
I am impressed with the lens hood. I am a beginner but found it much easier to take pictures in all periods of the day using the hood.

5 Stars Nice…
I like it. Its one of the best hoods I have used on my lens. I definately recommend it.

5 Stars Necessary Evil
The hood build isn’t as good as others. It’s not a twist on as I prefer them to be but this little bugger gets the job done.

4 Stars It Works For Me
When I used my 50mm 1.8 outside in bright sunlight I frequently got very overexposed pictures, more than two stops in some cases using aperture priority on my Rebel XSI. I partially remedied that by setting my exposure -2/3. I agree with others this is overpriced for a piece of plastic, but since adding this filter I have no overexposures. It’s worth it for me.

Canon ET67 Lens Hood for Canon EF 100mm f 2 8 Macro USM Lens

Hoods are one of the most important accessories for each lens you own. This hood is compatible with EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars a good hood
It fits like a glove. It’s pretty big though. The inside is a little fuzzy and attracts dust, but at least it’s there and not on my lens. I usually keep my 100mm lens on my Canon Rebel, but it won’t fit in my bag with the hood on. Instead of reversing it, I found the hood fits nicely in my camera bag if I slip it down over my 50mm lens (with it’s hood on) in the side pocket. It works to protect the 50 and rides well there.

5 Stars Good product
Canon ET67 Lens Hood for Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens

Nice hood for my macro lens. Helps me get great macro shots.

5 Stars Well, my Macro Lens needs it!!
It’s too $$$$ for a little black plastic, but I need it for my lens.

4 Stars Expensive for what it is but it does the job
I bought this product just because I want all my equipment to be canon, so I don’t believe there is much difference among this product and the ones produced by non-canon companies. (4 stars because the price)

regards,

5 Stars Essential In Spite Of Price
The Canon ET67 Lens Hood has actually surpassed my expectations for quality and utility, so much so that I don’t mind the price as much as I originally did.

In my view, it is a better way to protect the lens from dirt and damage than a skylight filter. It will protect the lens thread better than a skylight filter in most cases, if the camera is dropped. It affords very effective protection from dirt, smudging, and scratching. It doesn’t need to be cleaned, as a filter does. And the improvement in exposure quality that results from shielding a lens from stray ambient light and reflection is underestimated.

If you don’t need to use more than one filter on your EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM Lens and you take pictures outdoors, then the ET67 is an essential accessory.
