I have had this battery about a week and used it every day. Works great and still fully charged. Pleased beyond words.
I have had nothing but problems with the Canon battery that came with my new camera. After a dozen photos it would go dead. After sitting fully charged in my camera for a week unused would be dead when I wanted to use it. I seldom used my camera because of this. Canon charges around [...]60 bucks for the same battery-just has their name on it. Can’t go wrong at this price.

I’ve only had this battery for a short time, but it appears to work just as well as the OEM battery. I can’t believe how much less expensive it is than the name-brand battery, so I’m thrilled to get such a great deal!

1 Star Did not work in SD1200IS
Based on positive reviews here, I bought this along along with an SD1200IS. It worked one time but subsequent attempts to use it in the camera elicited “Change battery pack” message on screen. Be warned.

I bought the Canon LP-E5 battery because I was going on an important photo trip and didn’t want any issue with quality. This battery did not fail me. In fact, it went longer than stated. I’ll stick with this battery in the future rather than use second rate batteries.

5 Stars Good battery, but you may as well get the Bag kit.
The battery itself is a commodity and runs up to $70 bucks, so you may as well get the Canon Rebel EOS (or your model) bag kit with Battery and filter. It cost at minimum $99, but the bag is waterproof and durable. I knew a secondary battery would be needed, but after checking the prices and realizing I need a bag it was a no brainer.

I bought this as a spare for my Canon Rebel XSI. I can take over 500 pictures no sweat without even considering swapping for a backup battery. Also the battery charge last for a while.

5 Stars GENERIC REPLACEMENT BATTERY FOR CANON ELF CAMERAS
I refuse to Pay CANON $46.00 for these batteries! I have purchased 44 canon Elph Cameras so far and never have less than two batteries with me at all times. I paid about $15.00 here and this allows me to have three on hand for the price of one. I have a car charger and the normal charger and never ruin an event by running out of battery to allow for a great shoot…no limits in power available all day!
I also use Amazon to buy the Digital Elf KIT which gives you a genuine CANON battery and the Leather Case and a very nice Metal Neck Strap, for around $48.00. That is a Combination and a price that you cannot beat anywhere! 1 Star Camera show “battery depleted” right after charge.
I was expecting a decent replacement battery for this price (>$14). It says 1400mAh, but it is not even close to the original 1140mAh battery. I’ve charged it several times, but once put in the camera, a few pictures later, camera is flashing the “battery depleted” icon. Will return it!

The charger works quickly–it charges 4 batteries in 2 hours or so. The charger is compact and light. The batteries last a long time–for 500 shots or more–in a Cannon 2S IS camera.
4 Stars Wonderful product, but pricey
This is an absolutely wonderful product if you don’t mind the fairly high price. If you’ve done any research, you already know that there are similar products available for less. I own the Canon PowerShot S5 IS and it (and other Canon cameras) run on any brand of AA batteries.
These batteries do seem to have a very long life in between charges. Occasionally I won’t have any other choice but to purchase regular batteries when I’m out and I’m desperate and it always seems like they die much more quickly than when I have the Canon batteries in the camera.
Bottom line: I’m very happy with these batteries and you will be too.

It is working perfect. It is able to charge 4 empty batteries to full in 5 hrs, I have checked. The indicator shows whether the batteries are full or not. Its better than what I had expected.
4 Stars A little pricey
Charges fairly fast and batteries seem to last longer. Easier than carring extra alkaline batteries with you. As anything else you are paying for the name.
2 Stars Watch out for the “quick charge” slots!!
We purchased this for our Canon for when we were going on vacation – that way we could charge one set while we used the other for the day.
1. We NEVER got a full-day’s use out of these batteries, even when we used both sets.
2. There are (4) slots on the charger, but (2) of the slots are “quick charge” slots:
The batteries are charged quickly, but NOT TO FULL CAPACITY!!!! (The slots are marked
on the inside of each battery slot. I used a silver marker to remind myself which slot
was which so I could AVOID the “quick charge”.)
In the end, we bought regular batteries as back-ups to the rechargeables – which defeats the very purpose of rechargeable batteries!!
Very disappointing.
We will be researching better alternatives to this set.

This product turned out to be savior, on my visit abroad. Between this as backup and the battery that came with the camera, I could take all the pictures I needed to take. I will recommend this accessory as a good to have.

I bought this as a spare battery for my new Canon digital camera. The battery costs a fraction of what the store where I bought the camera wanted to charge me for an extra battery. I’ve been using it, along with the original battery, for about a month now. The battery life seems good and it fits the charger and camera perfectly. The only complaint, a very small one, is that that battery is very slightly thinner than Canon’s so the end cap, to protect the contacts, is loose and falls off. I just put them together in a small plastic bag to keep the contacts from accidently shorting on anything.

This battery charges fast, works well. There is no noticeable difference between the original factory battery and non- factory one.
