3 Stars This will do
Decided we would go with the cheaper model since the last one locked up on vacation and, as you know, cameras – no matter what you pay – are disposable items, when something goes wrong, there is no one to fix them, you simply buy a new one. This model is less expensive than our previous Cannon, and definitely feels cheaper. Case design, material etc, feels cheap but sturdy, it is a nice size, and takes the same memory chips as the previous one (different battery though). The controls are almost the same as the other, and it says it will take almost the same range of pictures as the higher end Cannon – less zoom though. There viewfinder is also missing on this model. As far as the purchase, everything was great – came as promised, etc, well packed, everything was there and worked. We have yet to use it other than to download pictures from the previous camera. Software was the same, so overall this is a good purchase so far.
5 Stars Great camera, great price.
Well reviewed, great little camera at the best price around on Amazon. I wanted a camera that would produce great pictures, be small and easy to use, and also be relatively durable for a child. This is the one that all my research pointed me to. So far we have not been disappointed.
4 Stars Best of the cheap
I am a real estate agent so I have been through a lot of point and shoot cameras. While I use a Rebel SLR to take my main pics, I chose this one to take anywhere since it’s small enough to pack and forget. The price is right, the quality is great, and it’s easy to use. Very intuitive. It is also easy to download pics to a computer. Actually this is my 2nd one. My kids dropped the first one and the zoom motor was broken, frozen in place. I can’t really blame the camera given that they dropped it from pretty high onto a hard tile floor. I figured that my shipping, return, hassle, etc. would cost more than the camera so I just immediately ordered a new one. That’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars. But still, at this price, it can’t be beat, in my opinion.
5 Stars It just takes good pictures
Easy to use, very good battery life,Pictures are true to color. Red or blue looks very nice. 1 to 2 secs between shots, with flash on 4 to 6 secs, start up time is 1.5 to 2 secs. I use 2 aa energizer lithium batterys or 2650 to 2900mah rechargable batterys and can get 600 pictures. A 2 gig sd card san disk ultra II or III will give you about 750 pictures. The lcd screen is not the greatest but not bad for the price,it just will not show you how good your pictures really are. This camera does not have image stabilzertion but still does very well with out it.
4 Stars May be the perfect affordable digital camera.
I have several more expensive Canon cameras and bought this one for a student. I ran it through its paces first, and came away with a very favorable impression for a 10MP camera that sells for barely over $100. It is very easy to use and the picture quality is excellent. I like that it uses AA batteries which are easy to find anywhere. In addition to its standard “automatic” mode it has several options for “custom” modes. It has the normal “macro” setting for close-ups, but it has even another mode for very extreme close-ups which I find handy. It also records good video with sound, and you can play it back in various slow motion speeds if you want, in the camera or on a big screen TV. All in all I give it very high marks and especially for its price range. Its only disadvantage I could find is it is just a bit thicker than other small pocket cameras.

The Precision Design FB350 flash-rotating bracket is light and compact, constructed entirely of sturdy aluminum and ergonomically designed for comfort, speed and durability. The FB350 Flash Bracket fits all shoe-mount flashes and can be used with both digital and 35mm SLR cameras.
The bracket has a pivoting flash arm that keeps the flash over the lens in both horizontal and vertical positions to eliminate “Red Eye” and drastically reduce side shadows for truly professional-looking results. It has a comfortable foam grip and a tripod mountable base. It allows the user to shoot and advance film as if no bracket were attached.

1 Star Precision Design Quick Flip Rotating FB350 Flash Bracket
The shoe must be removed to add the Flash sync cable, the you must carry a Phillips screw driver (no thumb screw, or room for one). The elbow of the arm is set with a allen screw and is not adjustable, and will flow freely with the flash. As the top horizontal arm is not at 90 degrees to the vertical arm. The arm flops down out of level.

4 Stars Almost 5 stars…
I almost gave this a 5 star review. The only issues I’ve had with it, which were no big deal for me but I could see bothering other buyers are:
1) The nut that goes on the swivel kept coming unscrewed after flipping the bracket a few times. I had a locking nut on hand and replaced it with that and have had no further problems, if you don’t have one on hand and yours has the same issue that could be a bit of an inconvenience.
2) The hotshoe mount would not securely hold the end of my generic ettl cord (don’t know if it would hold the Canon branded one any better). I just unscrewed the mount and used the same screw to directly attach it to the bracket, which would be an inconvenience if I wanted to use the same cord off camera without the bracket.
For me I’m still really happy with it, it serves my purposes well for as often as I need a bracket and I’m glad I didn’t spend the extra money on the more known brand.
4 Stars Great product for the price
The only reason this got a 4 star rating is because the mount on the top of the camera does not close far enough to hold my flash… keep that in mind if you are buying this expecting to use the mount. I, however am not using the mount, as I purchased a hot shoe cord that I just screwed on top using the screw that comes with the bracket.
It’s a nice bracket for the price. It is a sturdy, all metal frame with a nice grip.
If you are a beginner or don’t have a ton of money to spend, this is a nice bracket. The only thing I don’t like about it is it does not have a hinge at the bottom, so it is not easy to store. It takes up a lot of room in my camera bag.
Also when you use the bracket as a Left handle mount you must rotate the camera clockwise for vertical shots. I”m used to rotating the camera counter-clockwise, with my hand on top so its a little akward… I think I can get used to it though.
Next time I’ll definitely invest a little more money and get one that has a hinge at the bottom for more movement of the flash and so it will fold down.
4 Stars hotshoe considerations, but great value flash arm bracket
This is the cheapest and best valued “flash arm bracket” that I could find. I am quite happy with it, however it is my first “flash arm bracket” and I have not yet used it extensively. I find it to be very sturdy and professional looking, the grip is a nice cheap foam but works, and the velcro straps are a plus. The flash arm is held with an allen screw and nut for a firm hold but easily moves under manual pressure and I imagine this may need tightening over time.
Considerations: Only the flash arm rotates while some models have both arms rotate (useful?). Also, the flash shoe mount is all metal (so you may want to use some Hosa 2-inch Gaffers Tape 60 Yards, Black to pad it from the metal hotshoe on your flash). Also the flash shoe did not grip my flash (430exii,540ez) very well… until I added a couple of strips of gaffers tape. I’m also going to try to use this as a cheap “diy steadicam” after some mods and a counter weight.
5 Stars S-weet!!
I was pretty nervous getting the knock-off version for my flash bracket, but I liked the price, so I decided to go for it. It came the day of one of my scheduled wedding shoots, and I decided to use it cold turkey. It was WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE. It’s incredibly lightweight and moves the flash easily. There are no extra buttons that you have to push to manuever it, just an easy flip with your hand. The padding is perfect for long days of holding your camera. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a bracket.

2 Stars Not to impressed
When i put this on my camera I thought it would soften the look of my pictures. It just made them a little darker. Picture with out this product came out fine.
1 Star doesnt work??
when it thach the elctric pins it doesnt pop up it think its the out flash garbage
5 Stars Nice little extra
Sometimes this little gadget softens when I need it. I think for the money it is a nice little extra to carry around. You might have a shot that turns out just the way you liked without all the bulkiness of carrying something bigger to do the same thing. Worth the money.
1 Star did not fit my canon xti
i DRILLED the thing apart trying to prevent it from preventing the flash from going off at all. when i was done, the thing wouldn’t stay in the hole. garbage for me. the plastic was strong as hell, i’ll give it that. but if you have an xti, this won’t work.

5 Stars these little things are awesome!
I got these figuring nothing could be worse than the pop up flash by itself, but I was even more impressed than expected. It definitely softens the glare without significant loss to distance. I’ve only used the white one so far and have been very happy with it. I could take pictures at up to 8 feet, well lit, but without glare.
The black piece slides into place on your hot shoe and the colored pieces fit onto that at the height you need. It slides in and out very easily on my Nikon, but stays in place when it’s in.
You can take the pieces apart again to fit into a camera bag, so they don’t take up much room.
4 Stars Not bad for the price
I purchased this mainly because I wanted the color diffusers, and quite honestly it was cheap enough. I own the authentic Puffer diffuser as well and am very happy with it. This version slid better into my hot shoe and with my Nikon D40, there was no problems with it preventing the flash from opening. The package was fully intact upon arrival and was easy to use. It doesn’t quite warrant a 5 star, as it’s a little difficult to push the pegs into the holes on the blue screen.
Pros: easy to use, price is right
Cons: some minor manufacturing flaws with attaching the screen
1 Star no good for Canon
when inserted, it prevents the flash from opening. i had to cut a little piece out of it,for it to allow triggering the flash
i believe the gary fong version resolved this problem.
but anyway it’s a very useful and handy pop-up diffuser
1 Star Very disappointed
It was broken when I received it. Very cheaply made. But returning it would have been more of a hassle than it was worth.

This universal high-power flash unit for digital SLR cameras is the perfect accessory for any photographer looking for reduced red-eye, evenly lit subjects, or more power for telephoto shooting. This flash can be effective at ranges of over 50 feet, reduces shadows, and adds depth to your pictures thanks to the adjustable head, which zooms, swivels and tilts for added versatility.

4 Stars A good budget flash.
I’m using this on an Olympus E-VOLT E300. Had no problems getting it set up, and it certainly worked well. Used it primarily for bounce work at a wedding, and it performed admirably.
The best thing about this, I discovered, is that it actually gets better battery performance than they detail in their info on it. They say approx 150 shots per battery load, but I was up to 220 and it was still working fine. Haven’t tested beyond that, but I’ll be sure to on my next set. With the price of batteries eating into my pocket on other devices, this was a huge bonus.
If you’re looking for a cheap flash to play around with, this is it.
4 Stars Excellent Value
I think… $50 is an excellent value for this flash. It is powerful, highly recommended, i have a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP Digital Camera with 20x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom, you need to “play” with manual settings a little bit, but results are very nice.
5 Stars Good flash for beginer
Test it in manual mode with Canon Xsi, the flash is very powerful, I have to set ISO to 100. Most of the settings in the back of the flash is useful for zoom lens and prime lens as well. Highly recommended.
4 Stars capitol city ent.
yes i like the Precision Design DSLR300 Universal High Power Auto Flash with Zoom/Bounce/Swivel Head for Digital SLR Cameras it is a good flash for the price.
1 Star Very bad
This Flash can not be connected to the Olympus E420 camera as advertised .
Next time I will be very careful buying from Amazon.
